1. INTRODUCTION
BuildWithPros ApS ("BuildWithPros", "we", "us", "our") operates the website buildwithpros.com (the "Services"), the official digital store of IFBB Hall of Famer Shawn Ray. This Privacy Policy explains how BuildWithPros collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit, use, or make a purchase through the Services.
BuildWithPros is the data controller for personal data processed through the Services, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Danish Data Protection Act (databeskyttelsesloven).
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

3. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with the Services, BuildWithPros may collect the following categories of personal data:
Contact details: name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email address.
Payment information: payment card details and transaction information (processed securely by Shopify Payments; BuildWithPros does not store full card numbers).
Account information: username, password (encrypted), preferences, order history.
Transaction data: items viewed, added to cart, purchased, returned, or cancelled.
Communications: messages and information sent through customer support, email, or chat.
Newsletter and marketing data: email address, name (if provided), signup source, signup date and timestamp, consent status, email engagement (opens, clicks), unsubscribe events, and any preferences you select when signing up.
Reviews: product reviews you submit through Judge.me.
Purchase notification data: the city and country from your order address and the name of the product purchased, used to display anonymised recent-purchase notifications on the Services. Customer names are never displayed in these notifications.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, interaction events.
Marketing data: consent status, email engagement, advertising identifiers.
4. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA
Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, sign up for our newsletter, contact customer support, or submit a review.
Automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you visit the Services (subject to your consent where required).
From service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, and shipping partners who process data on our behalf.

6. NEWSLETTER AND EMAIL MARKETING
BuildWithPros operates an email newsletter managed entirely through Shopify Email (Shopify's built-in email marketing tool). No third-party newsletter platform such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo is used.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, you receive free guides and educational content based on Shawn Ray.
You provide consent when you sign up, and you can withdraw it at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by contacting legal@buildwithpros.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails that are necessary to fulfil an order, such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and reminders that a digital download link is about to expire. These are sent on the basis of contract performance rather than marketing consent, and contain no promotional content.
7. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
The Services use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember your preferences, measure performance, and — where you have given consent — support marketing. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the Services.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for core functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, security, and consent management. These are set on the basis of legitimate interest and do not require consent.
Functional cookies and local storage (Qikify) control how often recent-purchase notifications appear during your visit and prevent the same notification from repeating. They do not track you across websites and are not used for advertising. These are set only with your consent.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 and Shopify Analytics) help BuildWithPros understand how visitors use the Services so the experience can be improved. These are set only with your consent.
Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel via Parkour and YouTube preview video embeds) are used to measure and support advertising. These are set only with your consent.
Consent for functional, analytics, and marketing cookies is managed through the consent banner provided by Pandectes GDPR. You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the consent settings on the Services. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies, though doing so may affect how parts of the Services function.
8. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
BuildWithPros does not sell personal data. Personal data is shared only with service providers (data processors) who process it on BuildWithPros' behalf to operate the Services, and only to the extent necessary for each provider's function. These providers act under data processing agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only as instructed.
The categories of recipients are:
E-commerce platform and hosting — Shopify (store operation, customer accounts, Shopify Payments, Shopify Email, Shopify Forms, Shopify Inbox, Shopify Flow, Shopify Search & Discovery, Shopify Analytics).
Digital product delivery — Fileflare (delivery of video, audiobook, and PDF download links).
Transactional email — WorkflowMail (sending order-related notifications and reminders that digital download links are about to expire).
Shipping and fulfilment — Shipmondo and the carriers used for physical delivery (name, address, and contact details required to deliver orders).
Accounting and bookkeeping — Visma e-conomic (invoicing and statutory bookkeeping).
Reviews — Judge.me (collection and display of product reviews you submit).
Analytics and marketing — Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Meta Pixel via Parkour), where you have given consent.
Product recommendations — Selleasy and Selecty (cross-sell and recommendation features).
Social proof display — Qikify (retrieval of order data to display anonymised recent-purchase notifications showing city, country, and product name).
Consent management — Pandectes GDPR (recording and managing your cookie consent).
BuildWithPros may also disclose personal data where required by law, to comply with a legal obligation, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
BuildWithPros stores and processes personal data within the EU/EEA wherever possible. However, some service providers — in particular Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Meta Pixel via Parkour) — may process personal data in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA.
Order data used to generate anonymised recent-purchase notifications is processed by Qikify, whose infrastructure and sub-processors may be located outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. This processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest rather than consent, and the data involved is limited to city, country, and product name.
Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, BuildWithPros relies on the safeguards required under GDPR Chapter V, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Transfers for analytics and marketing purposes occur only where you have given consent.
You can prevent analytics and marketing transfers by declining analytics and marketing cookies in the consent settings on the Services.
10. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
BuildWithPros keeps personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as required by law.
Order, invoice, and transaction data is retained for 5 years from the end of the relevant financial year, in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act (bogføringsloven).
Customer account data is retained for as long as the account remains active and is deleted on request or after a prolonged period of inactivity.
Newsletter and marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe, after which it is removed from active marketing use.
Purchase notification data is retained only while the underlying order falls within the lookback window used for these notifications, after which it is removed from the display rotation.
Support communications are retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards.
When personal data is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires its retention, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
11. SECURITY
BuildWithPros takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, and alteration. Payment data is handled securely by Shopify Payments, and BuildWithPros does not store full payment card numbers. Account passwords are stored in encrypted form.
While BuildWithPros works to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, BuildWithPros will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals as required by GDPR.
12. YOUR RIGHTS
Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
The right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether your data is processed and a copy of that data.
The right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
The right to erasure — to have your data deleted where there is no overriding legal basis to retain it.
The right to restriction — to limit how your data is processed in certain circumstances.
The right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
The right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to object to direct marketing at any time.
The right to withdraw consent — to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
If you do not want your order to appear in the anonymised recent-purchase notifications described in this policy, contact legal@buildwithpros.com and it will be excluded.
To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@buildwithpros.com. BuildWithPros will respond within the timeframe required by GDPR, normally within one month. There is no charge for exercising your rights, although a reasonable fee may apply to manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
13. CHILDREN'S DATA
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. BuildWithPros does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to BuildWithPros, please contact legal@buildwithpros.com and the data will be deleted.
14. PROFILING AND AUTOMATED DECISIONS
BuildWithPros does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Where product recommendations or cross-sell features (Selleasy, Selecty) suggest content based on browsing or purchase behaviour, this does not produce legal effects and you can object to it by contacting legal@buildwithpros.com or by declining the relevant cookies.
Recent-purchase notifications are not personalised. They show the same anonymised order information to every visitor and are not based on any profile of you.

If you have a concern about how BuildWithPros handles your personal data, please contact legal@buildwithpros.com first so the matter can be resolved directly.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark — www.datatilsynet.dk. If you reside in another EU/EEA country, you may also contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
16. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or embedded content from third-party platforms. BuildWithPros is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services, and you are encouraged to review the privacy policy of any third-party site or platform you visit.
17. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
BuildWithPros may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, technology, or legal requirements. The latest version is always published on BuildWithPros.com with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
